I was lucky enough to attend Eurucamp a few days ago. It's a ruby camp held near Berlin, Germany.
There were some really interesting topics, including Rubinius internals, introduction to Sinatra in 8 lines of code, introduction to using continuation in Ruby and the nice talk about history of Rails engines and how to make one.
Workshops were held during the first day of the camp and the other days included speak-ups about various topics.
The guys organized a various set of activities you could attend to satisfy your sport appetite. Activities included biking, martial skills, outdoor coffee brewing, bowling and playing with our frisbees. I decided to go with the bikes. Getting lost in the woods near Berlin with ruby ninjas is a unique experience.
Usual afternoon included a nice lunch/meetup during which you were able to discuss informally with lots of interesting people.
