live edge detection with SimpleCV on Raspberry Pi

The goal here is to get live edge detection running on Curt White's prototype Raspberry Pi raspicam glasses.

Step 1: Raspbian

To get started, I installed Raspbian Jessie on Curt's Raspberry Pi. This step was the easy part. u: pi p: raspberry

keyboard layout

The physical keyboard I was using is a US-layout keyboard, but Jessie chose a default layout of GB. No big deal, but I don't know off the top of my head where things like pipes and tildes live on Commonwealth keyboards, so I changed the driver layout to match the physical labels.
