I am also facing the same problem. Did you fix this problem. Please let me know

We fixed it back in the days by not using %matplotlib notebook but instead some workaround (some analysis: shoeffner/cvloop#20 (comment)).

The issue and this example are six years old, so I cannot say if it still works – I wasn't even aware that issue is still open.
