- Code: a word or short phrase that symbolicaly assign a summative, salient, essence-capturing, and evocative attibute data
- Category: could be developed from similarity and regularity of codes
- Memo: the theorizing write-up of ideas about codes and their relationships
- Conatact sheet: contains data of contact, key concepts, link
- Interim case analysis form: summary, explanations, disagreements, coding status
