Notes for gregg pollack's https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lPjY-JGZDY

Tools: AUDIO > Video. Use a good mic. Film yourself w/ natural light & good backdrop when explaining ideas. Use Screenflow, high res monitor (for zooming). Hire a film editor. Keynote/powerpoint. Use Animations! Get everything captioned!

Instructional Design:

  • Describe the problem first, dont just teach syntax.
  • Give Learning Objectives.
  • Show them what you're going to build, what they need to know
  • teach with visuals where needed
  • Show more than one example

Customizing Kotlin/JS's Webpack configuration

This is mostly notes to myself in case I ever do this again.

So, I've been doing a lot of frontend development in Typescript/React, but I'm also interested in Kotlin. I'm a full-stack engineer, so the idea of making a whole application in the same language appeals to me. (I'm aware that backend development in NodeJS exists, but I'm a fan of strict typing.)

So I've been exploring Kotlin's JS backend support.

So anyways, here's how my project is set up right now:

How to configure multiple deploy keys for different private github repositories on the same computer without using ssh-agent

How to configure multiple deploy keys for different private github repositories on the same computer without using ssh-agent

Let's say alice is a github.com user, with 2 or more private repositories repoN. For this example we'll work with just two repositories named repo1 and repo2

https://github.com/alice/repo1

https://github.com/alice/repo2

You need to be to pull from these repositories without entering a passwords probably on a server, or on multiple servers.
