There’s a strong trend for ergonomic keyboards to reduce the number of keys, mostly becouse of QMK framework that allows layering. People usually prefer less rows.

Switches

You need to consider Sterm, tactility, Acctuation force.

Idealy you want to the same sterm, lighter acctuation force on pinky, somwhat harder on the other fingers.

PCB is not something you can buy for this keyboard, people usually hand solider them which sucks big time, and you can't change your switches. This is the reason you want to usehot swap sockets so your matrix look like this. And solidering video
