My name is Steve Ivy and I write about technology, the open web, social software, and general nerdity on monkinetic.com. I spend my days building large-scale CMS solutions Six Apart. With the recent merger, I'm looking for my next opportunity.

A passion for community and over a decade of experience building and extending web-based community software. Software Engineer - September 2008 - Present

Movable Type core and plugin development (perl) for Six Apart Services, including tests and documentation. Worked in perl, Movable Type, Python, Django, Javascript, JQuery, Facebook and Twitter APIs.

  • Migrated a large client's codebase and content from Movable Type 3.x to 4.x (included over 2 million blog entries in 5000 blogs) as part of a small team
