I want to have one of these talks again because our new (online) audience is not familiar with them, and both talks are among the most highly rated at DevTernity. So the question is, which talk makes you feel more enthusiastic?

A workshop on Dec 8th

Evolutionary Design: Beyond the Basics

I found it on your website, and it caught my eye. The title is great and causes FOMO 😱 If we can squeeze it into one day while keeping at least some hands-on exercises, then I'll be able to gather a group.

Alternatively, we can do Refactoring Workout, but it would help to rebrand it a little bit to make the title and description more catchy.

Ideas/suggestions are welcome.

I will think about how to do "Evolutionary Design: Beyond the Basics" in only 6 hours with some small exercises. I could frame it with the central message "You mostly need to practise more!" and then give them 2 or 3 examples/exercises to give them enough confidence to simply go and practise and ask questions.

Our current approach is this:

• We have scheduled the talk for 2023-12-07 and I will try hard not to cancel it later. I have reserved the time on my calendar so far.
• We will choose later whether to announce the workshop on 2023-12-08 as an extra option for participants and I will try to commit to that as early as I reasonably can.

I'll update this to match our discussions. I've already committed to both the talk and the workshop. I will only cancel in case of emergency.
