what i'd like/want : | |
- black background | |
- white/light gray text
- main title (and possible smaller titles) written in black with a white box in the background
- could possibly have two columns, like this :
| [MAIN TITLE] | ________ | | |
| ............ | ........ | | |
| ............ | .VIDEO.. | | |
| TITLE....... | ________ | | |
| ............ | TITLE... | | |
| ............ | ........ | | |
| TITLE....... | ........ | | |
| ............ | ........ | | |
| ............ | ........ | | |
... | |
(just an example/possibility, not a requirement)
- needs to be simple and light; don't want any fancy effects
- would like the font for the main title (and possibly other titles) to be kind of blocky
don't hesitate to ask if you have any other questions and be original if you can. i'm really attached to the B/W theme and how the main title should look, but the rest not so much.
also no need to spend too much time on this, it's just a single webpage ! |
My proposal. Doesn't quite follow the pixelated titles theme, but I went with the white on black, and the design scales and changes based on device form factor.
Here's my take, a little rough but has css classes to go all dark and with a white background with the posts. LMK, if you intend to use it (same user in github/twitter).

Very basic, but HTML5 with a break for mobile devices. I picked a blocky looking font face where the letters are more square than just doing a pixel font (which I always find are ugly). I'm not terribly happy with the horizontal rule but whatever. All uses Google Fonts so no licensing issues. Looks decent on all devices. http://codepen.io/pathartl/full/ejIDq/
