CAMERA SHOWING ROOM AND JIM SPEAKING DIRECTLY TO CAMERA WITH BUILT FRAME
JIM: Today, we're going to be looking at the SouthEastFPV Sprint Ultralight frame. As the name says, this is an extremely lightweight frame meant for racing with a focus on durability and overall frame stiffness.

Talk about carbon fiber quality ❓ (any details I should mention here Rick?)
JIM: All of the edges are really nicely chamfered. It is a subtle chamfer so that strength, especially on the arms, is not negatively affected.

JIM: _The frame is very easy to assemble and you only need one tool.

OVERHEAD CAMERA SHOT OF TABLE WHILE INSTALLING PARTS
JIM: The first step is installing the press nuts into the arm plates. By using these instead of the normal external nuts found on most frames, you don't need a nut driver to assemble the frame or replace arms in the field
Demonstrate attaching arms to bottom plate
Demonstrate assembling rest of frame, stand offs, top plate, etc
Show weight of built frame ❓ (Rick, what is expected here to make sure I don't get weird value?)
Demonstrate attaching motors with and without option brace
- note ideal screw sizes for motors for each option ❓ (Rick, verify ideal bolt sizes are 6mm and 10mm?)
Show completed builds with varying pod designs
Mention various designs are available on Phx-3d.com
❓ Are arm bumpers also available on Phx-3d?
Discuss why I really like this frame and some of the design decisions that make it stand out
- carbon quality
- single tool assembly and arm replacement
- arm plate design and interlocked arms makes arms more stable
- arm braces create extreme stiffness, add camera protection, and make the arms very difficult to break.

- phx-3d URL for pods, etc
Carbon Fiber - I use Toray Carbon Fiber which is the highest quality CF available. I use a standard weave matt finish with .5mm chamfered edges on all parts except for the 1.5mm arm braces.
Yes, show the weight of the built frame. It should be 57-60ish grams.
If using the front strut (arm brace) I have found that a size 9-10mm M3 works well of you are not using a motor mount. If you use a motor mount the size will depend on the material (TPU, Rubber...) and the thickness of the material.
All parts will be available on Phx-3D.com as well Brain3D.com. I am also working with Mayday FPV to produce a Nylon Canopy.
Here are the TPU parts that are currently available:
Sprint UL 3D Parts Description:
4 Arm Bumpers - These arm bumpers are used to protect the tips of the arms and to also serve as soft mounts for the motors.
Sprint "Original" Canopy - This is the original canopy that I (SSBelmont) designed for the Sprint UL, it also has zip tie mounts so a Unify Pro can be attached under the Canopy as well and zip tie mounts for an IPX Axii Antenna.
Sprint "Champ" Canopy - This canopy was designed for Ricardo "Champino" Samuel who is one of our SouthEastFPV Pilots. Champ wanted a lower camera mount and a lower Canopy. This Canopy also has zip mounts for a Unify pro as well and zip tie mounts for an IPX Axii Antenna.
GoPro Mount - This GoPro mount is designed to be used with the 2mm Carbon Fiber top plate and is 25 degrees. The mount is designed to be attached with M3 bolts in front and zip ties in rear.
