This fabric file makes setting up and deploying a django application much
easier, but it does make a few assumptions. Namely that you're using Git,
Apache and mod_wsgi and your using Debian or Ubuntu. Also you should have
Django installed on your local machine and SSH installed on both the local
machine and any servers you want to deploy to.
_note that I've used the name project_name throughout this example. Replace
this with whatever your project is called._

Backbone patch to defer update method requests when new create requests are not complete on a model
(function() {
Backbone.Model.prototype._save = Backbone.Model.prototype.save;
Backbone.Model.prototype.save = function(attrs, options) {
var that = this;
if (!options) { options = {}; }
if (this.savingNewRecord) {
// store or replace last PUT request with the latest version, we can safely replace old PUT requests with new ones
// but if there are callbacks from a previous PUT request, we need to make sure they are all called as well
_(['success','error']).each(function(event) {
// convert all callbacks to a single array of callbacks)

Insanely complete Ansible playbook, showing off all the options
This playbook has been removed as it is now very outdated.

sp is a command-line client for Spotify's dbus interface. Play, pause, skip and search tracks from the comfort of your command line.
#!/usr/bin/env bash
#
# This is sp, the command-line Spotify controller. It talks to a running
# instance of the Spotify Linux client over dbus, providing an interface not
# unlike mpc.
#
# Put differently, it allows you to control Spotify without leaving the comfort
# of your command line, and without a custom client or Premium subscription.

Makefile fragment that generates makefile targets to call make with a given target on all apps/* subdirs. Useful for erlang projects using erlang.mk that have apps/{app1,app2,app3..} structure (which rebar doesn't mind). Eg: call "make app" and it will call "make -C apps/app1 app; make -C apps/app2 app; ..." for you.
APPDIRS := $(wildcard apps/*)
## Example hack to filter one out:
## APPDIRS := $(filter-out apps/fooapp, $(APPDIRS))
define PROXY_TARGET
$(1):
$(foreach appdir,$(APPDIRS),$(MAKE) -C $(appdir) $(1) ;)

Whiteboard Picture Cleaner - Shell one-liner/script to clean up and beautify photos of whiteboards!

Description

This simple script will take a picture of a whiteboard and use parts of the ImageMagick library with sane defaults to clean it up tremendously.

The script is here:

#!/bin/bash
convert "$1" -morphology Convolve DoG:15,100,0 -negate -normalize -blur 0x1 -channel RBG -level 60%,91%,0.1 "$2"

Postfix: sender-dependent SASL authentication — relay to multiple SMTP hosts, or relay to the same host but authenticate as different users (e.g., two Gmail accounts)

This is a sequel to "Postfix: relay to authenticated SMTP".

I would like to send mail from two different Gmail accounts using Postfix. Here is the relevant section in the Postfix documentation: Configuring Sender-Dependent SASL authentication.

As a concrete example, here's how to set up two Gmail accounts (only relevant sections of the config files are listed below):

/etc/postfix/main.cf:
    # sender-dependent sasl authentication
    smtp_sender_dependent_authentication = yes

sender_dependent_relayhost_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/sender_relay

Using Erlang observer/appmon remotely

Using OTP's observer (appmon replacement) remotely

$ ssh remote-host "epmd -names"
epmd: up and running on port 4369 with data:
name some_node at port 58769

Note the running on port for epmd itself and the port of the node you're interested in debugging. Reconnect to the remote host with these ports forwarded:

$ ssh -L 4369:localhost:4369 -L 58769:localhost:58769 remote-host
