On yupprotocol.org:
- Yup Racing tile is set to snap to an id that does not exist on the page - but the content is there
On app.yup.io:
- The extention button in the side menu takes you to the chrome webstore no matter what browser you're using
- I don't know enough about UX to say this is a bad thing, but I'm curious, why are the navigation menus on yup.io and app.yup.io on opposite sides
- rendering performance in chromium browsers is about okay, but gets worse in FF
- There is a log out button available (which appears to do nothing) at the same time as a sign up/login button
General:
- The button on the side menu for the firefox extension costs too much effort to finally have the extension ready for use.The extension file it prompts you to download is unsigned, and I guess it's possible to flick a switch and allow unsigned extensions in FF. I guess your browser metrics suggest 90%+ of people are using chrome or similar.
- The little toasts "<user> liked <content_link>" that pop up at the bottom left on the homepage to announce recent votes/likes are not clickable such that it can take me to the content. A bit misleading, given it shows a portion of the content url. They disappear too quickly - perhaps 4 secs of persistence after upwards animation completes instead of 2. Or if there are too many coming in, a fixed location on the page, since it pops up like it wants me to act on it
- I randomly (but rarely) have to reauthorize yup with twitter - unsure what's going on there
- After instaling the extension in ms edge it took me to an appplication - after that, whats my identifier? whatever I entered, or one of my existing social media handles? how are multiple accounts handled? How to link/unlink them?
- On my yup profile, in FF I notice tweet embed videos do not load. Instead I get the message "No video with supported format and MIME type found"
- yup extension is a bit confusing - in edge (or chrome), clicking it brings me to a page where it says i will receive an email if im approved...yet I am able to see the embed on youtube videos and click to rate. The extension also shows no account identifier nor does it seem to interact with my logged in and ready-to-use twitter-linked yup account - what if I had multiple accounts (which I suspect I do, since I tried the signup sprocess everal times and with several emails)? how about social media accounts which share the same email? What if I decide to revoke yup.io's access in twitter? what does it fall back on for my tokens/influence?
- I see the voting/rating embed on youtube although I've done nothing myself to exlicitely link youtube to my yup account anywhere. For several weeks I have been rating videos through the embed but none of those show up in my yup profile. Is that just a placeholder, or are the ratings getting lost?
What about notifications of some sort to boost engagement? Would analytics of activity on a post encourage people to more to rate it? Would this on some level count as "investment advice" ?
