DTR Memo

Project: Monocle

Group Member Names: Susi Irwin, Dan Broadbent, Nate Anderson, Ryan Workman, Brendan Dillon

NOTE - Brendan is absent, so we will add his notes in when we get back together

Project Expectations:

What does each group member hope to get out of this project? Goals and expectations:

• JOBS.
• Better understanding of Agile Work Processes and Sprints
• Experience with Professional Work Environment
• More work with Javascript

Schedule Expectations:

When are we available to work together and individually?

• Susi - home from 6-8pm
• Weekends when needed.
• Remote work - be on slack
• Be sure to update Cards and Stories

Communication Expectations:

How and often will we communicate? How do we keep lines of communication open?

• Slack and Screenhero when not pairing or working in person.
• Daily Standups
• Sprint Planning
• retros

Abilities Expectations:

Technical strengths and areas for desired improvement:

• This is pretty open ended right now as we aren't that sure what we are moving into.
• Ryan would like to deploy and use Chef.

Workload Expectations:

What features do we each want to work on?

• This will be determined in Sprint Planning

Workflow Expectations:

Git workflow/Tools/Code Review/Reviewing Pull Requests:

• always pull a branch.
• Let's work off of a development branch so that master is always working and pristine.
• commit often
• detailed PRs - tag a teammate for code review

Expectations for giving and receiving feedback:

• in the moment, be honest. be constructive. direct but respectuful.

Ideas:

• just jump in and see what happens

Tools:

• slack, screenhero, RSpec, Pivotal Tracker, Google Document for Brainstorming
