Device Manager

Right-click on Start, and Select Device Manager

Common Problems

Power Options

Go to Settings > System > Power & sleep > Additional power settings.

That link is equivalent to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options.

Disable Fast Startup

  1. Click Choose what the power button does at the left pane.
  2. Click Change settings that are currently unavailable.
  3. Turn off the checkbox Turn on fast startup (recommeneded).

Workarounds for Shutdown Problems

Disable PCI Express > Link State Power Management.

  1. Click Change plan settings or create a power plan.
  2. Click Change advanced power settings.
  3. Set PCI Express > Link State Power Management to Off.

Disable Windows hibernation.

  1. powercfg /hibernate off on Command Prompt.
