An attempt at using English in a more analytic way

Analytic English

(This is just an experiment, an idea. Please take with a grain of salt and enjoy).

  • Word order:

    • Same as usual.
    • Word order indicates sentence structure, therefore negating the need for a copula.
  • Verbs:

    • Verbs do not inflect for subject nor tense. Typically, if not always, a verb will be in its infinitive form, without the to.
    • Irregular verbs also take on the infinitive form, including to be.
    • The word be only needs to be used when its needed as an infinitive.
  • Nouns:

    • Count nouns are typically singular when on their own, though ambiguity, intentional or not, can arise. To specify plurality, use many. To specifically specify singularity, use one, not a.
    • Uncountable nouns can be used with a determiner/unit of measurement to use them like count nouns.
  • Pronouns:

    • The pronouns: Me, You, Them, It, Him, Her, Us, This, That, These, Those.
    • Why did I choose
    • Pronouns do not change for subject, object, or possession.
    • Demonstratives/Articles should always proceed the specific noun.
  • Adjectives, Adverbs, Adpositions, Conjunctions, Interjections:

    • Same as usual.
  • Other:

    • You can just use no in place of not.
    • For yes or no questions, use X no X, plain X?, or a similar structure already used in English.

Examples

  • Today, me eat chicken. It tasty. Tomorrow, me eat cheeseburger.
  • This year in August, me and family go on vacation. It fun. Now, us at home. Us work.
  • Me eat when you enter and interrupt. Me now upset and no eat.
  • Me hovercraft have many eel.
  • Why use many word when few word do trick?
  • You hungry not hungry?
