Bosnia Roulette announcment
[10th November 2012 | 1800-2200z] Bosnian Roulette

The bets are made and the roulette is spinning... What will you get out of it? Try your luck! :-)
vACCBiH invites you to an unusual event involving all 4 main Bosnia-Herzegovina airports: Banja Luka (LQBK), Sarajevo (LQSA), Mostar (LQMO) and Tuzla (LQTZ).
Starting at one of the airports by own choice, you'll get an ATC clearance to one of the 3 other airports, without knowing the destination in advance. Destinations will be rotated depending on the traffic flow and airport capacity. After the outbound leg you’re welcome to get a new destination by the ATC to hereby try your skills with all 4 main Bosnia-Herzegovina airports, or fly by your own choice. Routes, being short and simple, will be provided by ATC, so brief for all 4 airports and try your luck! :-)

Fly UK Flying Club: SEP Rating Tour - Leg 1

EGCJ - EGNW (71nm, 01:15h)

Preflight

In the hazy morning of the 4th of March I prepared my old J-3 Cub for the first leg of the SEP Rating Tour, from Sherburn in Elmet to Wickenby.

During the planning I decided to take a longer scenic route, staying clear of the Doncaster TMA. The plan is to fly initially SE, crossing over the Drax Power Station, then turn East, follow the River Ouse to its delta, make a TNG at Brough (EGNB), then turn south along the coast, past Immingham and Grimsby, then another TNG at North Coates and then continue inalnd to the West for the last 17nm stretch to EGNW.

Altitude of 1000-1500ft was anticipated for the entire flight. Weather was mostly clear with slight haze at EGCJ, clear over the coast and then a bit more haze at EGNW (visibility 4700m). Temperatures were slightly above freezing ranging between 0-2 degrees.

Fly UK Flying Club: SEP Rating Tour - Leg 2

EGNW - EGCL (45nm, 00:40h)

Preflight

The plan for this shorter leg was to depart S/SE. climbing this time higher: to 3500 ft to avoid infringing the Coningsby Military Air Traffic Zone, spanning from GND to 3000 AGL. Thus overflying Coningsby AB, and then proceeding SE along the River Witham, over Boston town, then turning south for the last 14nm stretch crossing the Welland River and descending into Fenland airfield. The weathere was slightly warmer, temperatures 3-6 degrees C, scattered clouds at 2000-3000.
