For Finishing 5 gal. of Beer

Fermentation

  • a few oz of StarSan
  • 1 or 2 five gal brew buckets
    • 1 five gal carboy if only 1 bucket (preferred)
  • 1 airlock = 1 stopper + 1 s-lock
  • patience

Bottling

  • 1 bottling bucket *
    • (same as other brew buckets but with a spiggot)
  • a few oz of StarSan
  • PBW detergent (optional, but recommended)
  • 1 standing (not handheld!) capper
  • lots of beer bottles
    • ~53 12 oz ||
    • ~29 22 oz bombers ||
    • a combination of &&
    • as many bottle caps

* Some people do their secondary (after the carboy) in a bottling bucket.
Eliminating the need for 3 vessels.
This creates opportunity for infection and nasty spills, though.
