Retrieves the Jamf Pro LAPS password for the current computer. The script assumes a desktop administrator is operating the computer. The administrator will open Self Service, authenticate, and run the policy with the script.
#!/bin/zsh
# set -x

Introduction

Sometimes you may want to use a DNS server for specific domain requests and another DNS server for all other requests. This is helpful, for instance, when connected to a VPN. For hosts behind that VPN you want to use the VPN's DNS server but all other hosts you want to use Google's public DNS. This is called "DNS splitting."

Here, we run dnsmasq as a background service on macOS. The dnsmasq configuration described below implements DNS splitting.

Install

brew install dnsmasq

Script to quickly scan the S.M.A.R.T. health status of all your hard drive devices in Linux (at least all the ones from /dev/sda to /dev/sdzz). You need smartctl installed on your system for this script to work, and your hard drives need to have S.M.A.R.T. capabilities (they probably do).
#!/bin/bash
# install the smartctl package first! (apt-get install smartctl)
if sudo true
then
true
else
echo 'Root privileges required'
