Thank you for this -- I spent a good hour trying to figure out how to import a repository.

I'd import, then they'd be nowhere to be found. I'd go to import again, and the repository would be in the list of repos, but nowhere in any of my projects.

Even after all these gyrations to import a Git project, the status of the files isn't even shown in the tree view?!

I've used the Mercurial plug-in for a couple of weeks without incident; it just works.

This just seems cumbersome as hell.

With the Mercurial one, you import the repo, all the files land where you'd expect in the workspace, and you just use them.

Maybe this is just early software but I, for one, find its current behaviour bizarre and unusable.
