Fallout 76 is a narrative prequel to previous Fallout games and takes place in 2102, twenty-five years after the launch of the nukes that devastated the Earth. The player character is a resident of Vault 76, a fallout shelter that was built in West Virginia to house America's best and brightest minds. The player character exits the Vault on "Reclamation Day" as part of a plan to re-colonize the Wasteland. 

Work together – or not – to survive. Under the threat of nuclear annihilation, you’ll experience the largest, most dynamic world ever created in the legendary Fallout universe.  Play solo or band together as you explore, quest, build and triumph against the wasteland’s greatest threats.

[b]How do I play Fallout 76?[/b]

If you have played Fallout 4 then you know what to expect from Fallout 76.

Emerging from the vault in the wasteland of West Virginia which has also recently been devistated by nuclear war take the role of a Vault Dweller and explore the world around you in familiar Creation Engine mechanics and survive.

Surviving however is no longer exclusivley done via clearing dungeons and emptying your pockets at the nearest town.... Infact there are no towns!. Instead each player is equiped with a C.A.M.P a portable and upgradeable base allowing for crafting of all sorts as well as a place to rest.

VATs does not make it through in its usual form, Instead of pausing or slowing time it will instead whilst providing a highlight and percentage chance of hitting it will function in real time, I hope you practiced those twitch shooting skills.

Leveling up in this game is now done assigning S.P.E.C.I.A.L points on level up with a new upper limit of 15 per characteristic. These characteristic's will then allow players to equip "Perk Cards" to a value totalling the characteristic score in a variety of ways.

[b]What about this multiplayer nonsense?[/b]

Yes you heard right, this time fallout is a multiplayer game!.

Join up with your friends and fellow goons and retake the wastelands in an online battle for survival!. Do not worry about hitting your allies as damage between players is reduced to NERF gun levels only without the colourful branding.

OR NOT!

PvP is a feature in the game too!. Duels are initiated by firing an invitational headshot and accepted by returning the favour. Once accepted all bets are off and weaponry deals damage properly between the two players untill one emerges victorious!.

[b]When can i play?[/b]

For those unlucky enough to own an XBONE you have one consolation prize. B.E.T.A (Break it Early Test Application)starts for you on  the following dates:

Saturday, Oct. 27 - 5pm ET to 7pm ET
Sunday, Oct. 28 - 12pm ET to 2pm ET

Those who made more sensible purchasing decisions will be able to play the game on October 30th for PC and PS4.  Then after that, the game releases officially on November 14th 2018.

[b]Will I be able to run a private server for Goons[/b]

Bethesda refers to "Private servers" as private worlds, which will be added to the game later after release.  Mods are also a promised addition for the future.
