drinking from rooftops | |
the cloud slakes our very thirst | |
filtered rainwater | |
pray the rainmaker | |
deliver us from the ground | |
the cloud is our way | |
within each droplet | |
seeds of the cloud suspended | |
drink deeply of them | |
blocking our blue skies | |
condensed, the blood of all life | |
on my lips, sweetly | |
spectres in the night | |
bring glisten to the morning | |
to dry is to die | |
wet, wet as any | |
the shadow of december | |
make my garden grow | |
heat let to cooling | |
from you i take my first sip | |
dear cloud, never leave | |
i know how you live | |
high above my day to day | |

mist as child and mother | |
