in case anybody else out there is trying to play scrunch on linux~

here are the steps i took on arch linux, depending on yr distro ymmv:

  • install freetype2, sdl2, portaudio: sudo pacman -Sy freetype2 sdl2 portaudio
  • simlink /usr/include/freetype2 to /usr/include/freetype: sudo ln -s /usr/include/freetype2 /usr/include/freetype
  • clone the repository and go to the build directory: hg clone https://bitbucket.org/runhello/blit && cd blit/desktop/lin
  • replace the Makefile with the modified Makefile above (the modified Makefile adds -I/usr/include/SDL2 to line 15, and removes -lSDL2main and adds -lpthread to line 16)
  • compile!: make
  • there should be an executable, but you have to run it from this directory: cd Jumpcore && ./Jumpcore
