Is this code free to use? Or is there any licensing required?

@KrishnaRLolage, this is an unmodified copy of the PackageApplication script from Xcode 8.2.1. It's probably covered under Xcode's license, which I do not believe meets any definition of an "open source" license.

I have posted it here to assist myself and others in fixing a specific bug that occurred when upgrading from Xcode 8.2.1 to Xcode 9.x. At this point, that purpose is no longer relevant.
