Code taken from stackoverflow . I have tested this in a custom webapi that only runs synchronously and have found it to be working. to run it you can use it as follows.
var docHelper = DocumentHelperFactory.GetSimpleHelper(); return AsyncHelper.RunSync(() => docHelper.CreateAsync(info));
