This is your deliverable from the Job Search Strategies I session

Module 4 Goals

• I would like to have interviewed with 3-4 companies by the end of mod 4
• I would like to have a job offer by the end of mod 4

Strategy To Achieve Goals:

• I will get at least one interview for every week in Mod 4
• Every day I will do one of the following:
  • Apply for a job
  • Email a contact person
  • Have a face to face meeting

Coding (both including your module 4 curriculum and anything outside of it):

• I will build out other apps via personal ideas or tutorials online to better hone in my skills as a Javascript developer in React.

Opportunities Research:

• I will use LinkedIn and other job boards to see who is hiring and further research those companies to see which ones would be a fit for me.

Cold Outreach/Network:

• I plan on using my network to reach out to people that may be able to assist or advise me in my job search.

Timeline:

• By intermission week:
  • Have a list of 10 companies worth contacting
  • Have an action plan for contact someone at 5 of the 10 companies
• During intermission week:
  • Start daily outreach tasks
  • Prettify portfolio projects
• After intermission week:
  • Prioritize the job search
  • Follow up with people contacted during intermission

Module Tasks:

• My plan is to focus on my work during the module and apply/interview for jobs when there is time.

Weekly Tasks:

• I will get at least one interview for every week in Mod 4
• Every day I will do one of the following:
  • Apply for a job
  • Email a contact person
  • Try to set up a lunch or coffee date.
