Man, it's so funny how far out of its way Discord goes to obfuscate the real username. My username is todb oh no wait it's actually todb#2254 whoops no actually it's really 741343407133425726. Okay!

Oh interesting! Thanks for the tip, @XCanG, I'll check it out. But just to be clear, in all of discord-land, there won't ever be another todb#2254 unless I (or an attacker) goes and changes the alpha part of my name, right?

Well you right, but I mean, however, that not by attacker, but you by yourself can change your name. Discord is that place where people tend to frequently change their names. Some time ago I was admin on large server (40k people) and we were track some spammers or other people with bad behavior (we had temp bans for some cases, so for example temp ban was for 3 month and people was returned with their same accounts they was banned), so I know all schemes they try to apply to hide their identity. They only can't change their ID if they use one account, so, this was always proof that it was the same person who was banned before. And specifically to our server only we had another verification with related forum accounts. That forum account have only one per person, so because of that if someone have additional account in discord, but verify with a bot with same account as his previous discord account, both accounts were linked and verified as same person and if he was banned before and ban still not expire, another account banned as well.

So, to the topic I just want to say, that if you add both name with discriminator and ID, everyone can confirm that it you and definitrly not someone else. Ah and by the way if discord account violate discord guidelines, it may be terminated, and those it's name will be freed. And you also can request removal of your account and that will have same effect:

This is screenshot of deleted user, who violate community guidelines and was removed by discord. It's name is gone and it renamed to Deleted User#0000
