We are all members of Couchsurfing and believe in something bigger than money, possession and position. It took more than 14 years to get the Couchsurfing community together. Without your immediate help this community will be lost forever.

Due to the challenges that the COVID-19 pandemic poses to us, Couchsurfing will soon not be able to fulfill its financial obligations. We have downsized our teams, cut salaries, cancelled or renegotiated all contracts, eliminated our office space (we now work 100% in the home office), and applied for COVID-19 grants provided by the US government under the CARES Act. From May 14, 2020 we will charge a membership fee of 2.39 USD per month, or 14.29 USD per year if paid in advance, to keep Couchsurfing alive. This membership fee is required to access the couchsurfing website and mobile apps. Your membership fee supports Couchsurfing during the COVID 19 pandemic and beyond and helps us continue to protect this community. We had to make this decision, even though it was not easy. There's good news: All Couchsurfing members can now send unlimited messages and couch requests. Since Couchsurfing is no longer supported by third-party advertising, all third-party ads will soon be removed from the website and mobile apps.
