Introductions & Alma Overview – Alma concepts and interface (1:00 – 1:25)

Alma Overview

  • came out in 2012
  • platform rather than ILS
  • infrastructure for Leganto (reading lists) and on top of that Esploro (research services)
  • deployed mostly in N.A. and western Europe (1600 libraries)
    • 60+ consortial, 47 ARL members
    • mostly smaller libraries (15-50 staff)
