Combed through Reddit, Twitter, news reports, press releases, etc. from years ago until today. Dug up every block/node explorer and tried to find testnets and any evidence/usage of the various promised features.
What I found:
- Every few weeks, a post about “X is coming soon!” followed by “Charles never gave a firm date”. Rinse and repeat. Africa, Smart contracts, partnerships, etc. Total gaslighting.

- every comment thread is filled with “just believe! keep buying!” There is zero discussion of actual development of anything.
- most excitement comes from events/announcements at conferences, tons of chatter about “X will be announced at this event!” then once the event has passed, absolute silence.
- lame “partnerships”. onboarding africa? what? the “ecosystem” list is just a hodge podge of nothing but lofty/vague promises.
