When I meet an affiliate that I want to work with, I want to add them into my campaign immediately, so that they can start promoting my product.
ReferralCandy auto-assigns different target segment types to different campaign subtypes (auto-enroll, curated, invite-only). This means a merchant who creates a curated campaign (affiliates apply via form) can't easily add someone manually — they'd need to create a separate static segment and add it as an additional target audience. The system requires merchants to understand segment plumbing to accomplish a simple job: "add this person to my campaign."
