To mark this, the theme of ‘iconic’ illuminates all of this season’s kits – as we celebrate our historic home, Villa Park. The material of panelling of the claret on the home kit represents the stadium’s famous red brick and features the emblem of the Holte End within the neck line. The home shirt has gone down very well with supporters who have flocked to get their hands on the new top, which was debuted last Saturday when the first team travelled to Tottenham Hotspur for the first Premier League game of the season. In terrific figures, home shirt sales have more than doubled last year’s record launch, with demand for trainingwear 10 times what it was at this point last summer. The away kit, which is in keeping with the ‘iconic’ theme thanks to the famous Villa Park gate design featuring across the body, has also received highly positive sentiment, demand for this shirt after a week on pre-order was over 500% up on last season’s hugely successful away launch."
