I do have a cable that connects the sound card to the video card so it can pass through to the hdmi spdif card (this is how my windows boot does make it work) but it doesn't work for me with fedora 10 and alsa-1.0.19-2, maybe i will try another flavor, since if windoze can do it, linux should eventually.
