A simple franzbrotchen recipe to make 4-5 portions
2 x 7g yeast
125ml warm milk
250g plain flour
35g powdered sugar
35g soft butter
pinch salt
100g soft butter
100g powdered sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
put yeast in milk and let sit for 10 min
mix flour, sugar, butter and salt with milk
knead dough and let sit 40 min covered
Mix sugar and butter and put in fridge to cool
flatten dough
spatula to spread sugar/butter mix over flatten dough, put cinnamon on dough and then spread sugar/butter on top
roll it
make angled cuts in roll every 4 cm and place pieces with small side facing up on baking sheet
let rise under cover for 15 min and preheat oven to 220 degrees
put in oven for 8 min at 220 degrees or until golden brown
