- Hunt 101 (thicker strokes, more flexible, more variation)
- Hunt 512 (less flexible, more control)
- Nikko G (good practice in-between nib)
- ** don't forget a nib holder
- Pentel Touch Sign Pen (omfg I love this pen)
- Higgins Eternal (great practice ink)
- Sumi Ink (leaves a nice shine, smells funky, can use it on porous paper)
- Finetec Metallic Pallet (technically watercolor paint, excellent metallic golds)
- Drawing paper for practice
- Cold-press smooth watercolor paper for more formal designs
- Bristol board is fantastic
- Modern Calligraphy (buy this book -- it's an excellent resource)
- Skillshare Modern Calligraphy Course (so good!)
A couple of calligraphy friends swear by the Pilot parallel pens for quick and dirty stuff. They're also very portable. Have a bit of a learning curve, though.
