    This guide covers how to enable the fingerprint sensor on a ThinkPad T480 running Fedora 43

This is an updated guide based on the Tamal's Gist for Fedora 35. Since the original tigro/python-validity COPR repository might not work or be updated for newer Fedora releases, this guide uses the sneexy/python-validity repository.

Synaptics fingerprint sensor (06cb:009a) lsusb
Install dependencies

sudo dnf copr enable sneexy/python-validity
sudo dnf install open-fprintd fprintd-clients fprintd-clients-pam python3-validity
