Screen recording on macOS

Includes the ability to record system audio

Apowersoft Screen Recorder

  • Download from either the Mac App Store or as a direct download
  • If browsing the Apowersoft website, the app is accessible under the “Mac” menu. Note that this is different from Screen Recorder Pro under the “Products” menu.

Record system audio

  • Open Apowersoft Screen Recorder
  • Go to the Recording tab
  • Click the “?” icon
  • Install the virtual sound card
  • Restart the app
  • Choose the desired audio setup (system and external mic, or system only)

Notes

On my Retina MacBook Pro 13”, low quality 15 fps video is ~27MB per minute.
