TL;DR

Log rotation is now occurring. We're keeping 7 days of logs on the appliance. A one-time log truncation will occur upon upgrade. Download a support bundle from http(s)://[hostname]/setup/support BEFORE upgrading if you need them. If you run into trouble, please email support.

One-time Log Truncations

When upgrading to this release, all application and web logs will be truncated due to how large they will be on most installations. This is a one-time action. If you need your logs, be sure you download a Support Bundle BEFORE proceeding with the upgrade. You can download the Support Bundle from http(s)://[hostname]/setup/support. If you have trouble getting this to work, please email support to get assistance.

Log Rotation

Log rotation is being enabled in order to better manage disk usage. As such, the historical logs available in the Support Bundle will be decreased significantly. This will decrease the size of the bundle making it easier to send to support when needed.

These logs (along with the rotated files) will continue to be available through the Support Bundle which you can download from http(s)://[hostname]/setup/support if you need them. We will be keeping 7 days worth of logs on the appliance. If you need those logs for any reason, you'll need to download a Support Bundle before the logs are removed (i.e., past the 7 day mark).
