Security Guidelines

Choose (One?) Your Own Adventure

• Use a ChromeBook
• Or, Use Android
• Or, Use an iDevice
• Or, Use Windows

iDevice?

• Use Signal
• Do not jailbreak
• Use an iPod or an iPad without a SIM card
• Use an iPhone

Android?

• Use TextSecure + RedPhone
• Do not root your device
• Use a Nexus (gets latest patches w/o carrier/vendor barrier)
• Run the latest version, always.

Windows?

• 10 or 8.1, nothing earlier.

Daily Activity

• Use a VPN
• Apply patches
• Use a password manager
• Use an ad blocker
• Disable Flash (on Chrome you can still right click to play)

Browser Choice

• Use Chrome
• Do not use Safari
• Do not use IE

This is really good but it does not quit capture the preference for devices and the fact that you are really choosing a platform. Maybe you are trying to put your own spin on this which is cool, but he put iOS above android.
