Support backup files on external drives. (Since CrashPlan doesn’t distinguish between files that have been deleted from your computer and those that are temporarily unavailable because a drive is disconnected. If you disconnect your external drive, we recommend configuring CrashPlan to never remove deleted files from your backup archive.)
Backup sets frees you to handpick and prioritize what files go where, and how often.
Restore via web or external disks (internationally, as long as reachable by FedEx)
Return the disk within 30 days of receipt to get the restore fee refunded
(effectively the cost is only the returning ship).
Note: I have used ChicagoVPS in 2013-2014. The billing via paypal was recurring, but they still sent unpaid alert email to me. And I forgot the payment was recurring (billed half year ago) and paid manually. Later, the recurring payment took effect and I had been charged twice. Their support staff said refund would be in "next refund batch". Later they said that they were moving my ticket to the billing department. But still no refund. Then I exchanged several support tickets with them over several months and they were just keep asking about the transaction IDs (which I repeated in several tickets) and saying moving the ticket to billing or concern department again and again. After 6 months there was still no refund (until my VPS suspended).
Note: It is not stable. Sometimes it hangs on system upgrade. Sometimes it goes off automatically (probably via some auto shutdown system by the provider)
should probably add GitLab.com to git hosting sites - (IMO) it's the 2nd best project host out there - and the best one with free private repos - because they're basically mimicking github :P (which is the best one)
