Beginner's Guide to PAYDAY 2 Modding

This guide details the installation of SuperBLT and VanillaHUD for PAYDAY 2.

Prerequisites

Setup

  1. Download SuperBLT (direct link to payday2bltwsockdll-x.x.x.zip)
  2. Download VanillaHUD (direct link to vanhudplus.zip)
  3. Extract payday2bltwsockdll[...].zip and copy WSOCK32.dll to your PAYDAY 2 game files directory (beside your payday2_win32_release.exe)
  4. Launch PAYDAY 2. You will be prompted to download the basemod. Click yes. This will create a new mods folder inside your PAYDAY 2 directory.
  5. Extract vanhudplus.zip and copy the VanillaHUD Plus directory into the new mods folder.
  6. Start up PAYDAY 2.

You should now see some slight changes to the main menu. In-game, the UI will be significantly enhanced and provide much more information. Have fun :)
