Additional features & notes Preview images in comment threads without opening new pane/window (press and hold) - compatible with OSX Continuity/Handoff as browser/webpage Only tested on iOS. Not sure about feature parity with Android - some features hidden in OS share widget (e.g. save/unsave post)
- color codes comment scores, like RES
Formerly known as Reddit News
Known issues (besides listed below) - Modern UI a bit clunky, can switch back to Classic UI in options if desired
- has (had?) issues with editing/edited subreddit subscriptions
- sometimes has issues reloading front page after exiting app and coming back later (go back to main menu and then back to front page to fix)
- too easy to unsave content in 'saved' view (expect left screen swipe to exit saved view, but instead it unsaves something)
- sharing the reddit post link always includes the title at the beginning, which can be annoying
- tapping on links can be frustrating
- doesn't show which subreddit a post is in while looking at it, and no way to access the sub from the post.
- Sometimes difficult to navigate, due to various areas opening in new windows and forgetting previous view. No forward/back navigation and frequently loses spot when opening new views (e.g. Saved opens in 'top' window, so can't browse threads like gallery. And if open user profile, loses previous location -- hitting close brings you back to front page)
Opens links to reddit in web view instead of app view
Ads Not with pro. May show sponsored posts without pro - Persistent banner ads on bottom of screen.
- Removed via IAP
some large ads between posts, and occasional small banner ads on bottom of screen (can be temporarily hidden by tapping the X) NO Large persistent banner ads on bottom of screen, can not be hidden without pro
