My Terms for doing a review for the Luba
Hi Steve,
Thanks for the reply and the info.
I'm potentially interested in doing a video, I haven't fully decided. I do have some more clarifications if you wouldn't mind.
1) What is the timeline for the video? You say the kickstarter is in May, but May starts in less than 30 days and I would be very concerned about this.
- I have to get the device
- Set it up
- Use it for a while to form an opinion of it
- Record the video footage
- And edit and release a video
The time frame is very ambitious. If we did proceed:
What is the date the video would need to be released by?
When do you think I would receive the device?
2) In the original email you mentioned about sharing on my social media. I have no problem sharing some images of the product on my Twitter once I'm not required to say anything specific about the product (I effectively don't have the other social medias you mentioned). As I think the product is very interesting, I would be sharing images of the product and setting it up on my twitter anyways.
3) If we were to proceed, I would require that you guys have no input on the video at all. The video (or script) will not be provided before its public release. You are welcome to provide suggestions for talking points if you wish, but I may not use them.
The video could only be me giving an honest opinion on the mower and probably comparing it to the experience of my worx landroid.
4) I would be making it very clear in the video that I have received the mower for free and would have to give a very clear warning to my viewers about the risks of crowdfunding products.
I would also have to mention that I had been only using it for a short time so I can't comment on the long term use of the product.
5) The video or parts of the video could not be reuploaded somewhere else.
6) Would the product I recieve be the final design that customers would be purchasing or would it be some form of pre-release version?
7) Where will the product be shipped from? Both the review model I get and the ones for customers.
If you’re shipping the one to me from a non-EU country, please respect the applicable import declaration rules. Shipments that are improperly declared will be out of my control and could either be returned or destroyed by customs.
Thanks,
Brian
