The best place to look is the project proposal for the Glean Dictionary as a whole.
The Outreachy internship will cover phases 2 & 3 under the plan section. It will involve interacting with our telemetry metadata (using Python) and visualizing it (using JavaScript/Node.Js and svelte)
Note the Glean Dictionary is in a very early state as of this writing: we're expecting it to evolve rapidly over the next few weeks.
Unfortunately we're full! We're a bit overwhelmed with the interest in the project, so we've decided to cut off the project to new applicants, so we can focus on mentoring the people who have expressed interest so far through a few issues and their applications.
We are committed to working with anyone who has submitted their solution to the initial qualification task by October 12 2020.
In addition to the application itself, we're looking for people who have successfully worked through a few issues (of increasing difficulty) that demonstrate the ability to solve problems using the skills described in the project description (python, svelte/javascript, etc.).
From a mentor perspective, it's a bit better for potential applicants to ask questions in a public forum so other potential applicants can also get answers. In addition, other Outreachy applicants and Mozilla Data people may also be able to help which helps ease the burden on the mentors (@amiyaguchin and @wlach). As such, please jump on the #glean-dictionary chat room on Mozilla's instance of Matrix if you have more questions.
