What is this?

Instructions on how to download Vainglory on Android without google play store.

This is because the game is hidden on play store due to latest google requirements.

About me

Hi i'm Builderb, i've been playing Vainglory since 2017 and it's an awesome game that should be preserved with a nice community.

I'm also a software developer so i understand how games and services work ;)

Install Game

You need to download the apk (game) and obb file (resources/assets) which i'm hosting for fast download and no sketchy sites haha.

Important

Android 13 users will need to use a PC to move files into the obb directory due to Android restrictions.

Note

This is the Community Edition client 1B with all skins unlocked (except for limited edition) and name change.

Region selector does not work unless you use a VPN.

New Method

Note

This uses a packaged xapk file with the apk and obb built-in so no need to move files.

1. Download the xapk file Vainglory.xapk
2. Download this app to install the xapk with XAPKS Installer
3. Open the XAPKS Installer app, then click Install, select the vainglory.xapk (Usually in downloads) then wait for install
4. Start the app, give access to files permission, select a storage location to unpack the .obb then wait for it to finish.
5. Enjoy the game and share/star this. :)

Old Method

1. Download Vainglory.apk and Vainglory.obb

2. Use a file manager app to move the .obb file

   • Most brands have a built-in Files application to manage files or you can download one such as Total Commander - file manager
   • Go to Internal Storage > Downloads, select vainglory.obb then cut/copy/move the file.
   • Move the main.147219.com.superevilmegacorp.game.obb file to Internal Storage > Android > obb > com.superevilmegacorp.game
   • Create the com.superevilmegacorp.game folder if it does not exist.

3. Install the game app using the .apk file, you may need to enable installing apps from other sources.

4. Start the app, give access to files permission, select a storage location to unpack the .obb then wait for it to finish.

5. Enjoy the game and share/star this. :)

Note

If the game closes on startup then you have not done the obb correctly.

Note

If you cant view or modify the obb folder then you will need to use pc due to Android restrictions.

@ArmsnArmor you might not able to run the game on Android 14 because the app itself has not been updated to support that sadly.

Cara. Acho que fiz tudo certo. Fiz a pasta com o nome "com.superevilmegacorp.game" e depois copiei a pasta que extraí desse arquivo que você disponibilizou e colei. Instalei o apk mas não aparece a opção de escolher a pasta que vai descompactar a .obb e simplesmente sai do VG. Meu celular é um MotoE22.

For anyone who come across this, would like to point out, using APKPure's appstore to install or using adb to copy the obb files worked for me in Poco F5 (Android 13)

File managers uses exploits to access the obb directory so that method is not reliable and most likely a security vulnerability

To take some load off (what I presume to be) your server I've mirrored these files on my server at https://srv.neverlocate.me/vainglory -- should stick around for awhile and if I ever cancel the server I'll just bring it back to my on-premises server at home. Thanks for the Gist!
