how to download legal torrents

torrenting is perfectly legal and i am more than willing to teach folks how to use tor + a VPN + piratebay to download ubuntu isos

  • you download the tor browser and you visit http://piratebayo3klnzokct3wt5yyxb2vpebbuyjl7m623iaxmqhsd52coid.onion/ to search for your preferred flavor of ubuntu
  • you pay for a cheap VPN from https://mullvad.net/ and follow the installation guide
  • you install a bittorrent client - i use transmission-daemon on linux but there are many good options
  • you go to that pirate bay link, you copy the magnet link for your ubuntu torrent
  • you visit the mullvad test page to make sure your VPN is running
  • and then you download ubuntu 🎉
