nginx sites-available folder not found

nginx sites-available folder not found

create the sites-available and sites-enabled folder

sudo mkdir /etc/nginx/sites-available
sudo mkdir /etc/nginx/sites-enabled

edit the http block inside /etc/nginx/nginx.conf and add this line

include /etc/nginx/sites-enabled/*;

create a default sample server configuration

cd /etc/nginx/sites-available
sudo touch default

open this default sample configuration file and add copy the default sample configuration form the nginx documenntation

activate the default server

for activate the default server: create a symbolic link in the sites-enabled directory

sudo ln -s /etc/nginx/sites-available/default /etc/nginx/sites-enabled/default

test the nginx configuration

sudo nginx -t

restart the nginx service

sudo service nginx restart
