App-Quality is looking for a new team member in Cremona or Milan.

Who we are

Human Touch in Software Testing

AppQuality is a crowd testing platform that enables companies developing digital products to test them on real users achieving qualitative and quantitive data with less time and effort.
AQ is a small yet growing team very fond of lean thinking. We're dislocated in both Cremona's Cobox and Milano's PoliHUB, to be always down deep in a positive and innovative environment.

Full Stack developer

We're looking for a person to join a tech team composed by 2 full stack devs and 1 freelance frontend dev.
Our tech stack is still pretty straigh forward: a WordPress 4.9 on a LAMP(PHP7) environment, hosted on AWS, and all the business logic is segregated in few custom plugins.
This doesn't mean we don't care of cutting edge technology, but being really Lean we're focusing on solving the testing process of our customers. Hence we're open to experiment any kind of new solution that gives value to the Customers and our beloved Crowd of Testers.

Things we care of a lot:

  • PHP
  • Vanilla Javascript
  • PSR and coding good practices
  • git
  • HTML / CSS

Things you should be able to hack around:

  • jQuery
  • Grunt / Gulp
  • HTML5 / CSS3
  • OOP and Design patterns principles knowledge
  • Docker / Vagrant
  • AWS (EC2, IAM, S3, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy)
  • E2E testing
  • A secondary scripting language (NodeJS, Python, Go)
  • JS MVC frameworks
  • A/B testing

Any experience on software testing and Quality Assurance is not required but a huge plus, also knowledge of the mobile world, iOS/android deployment processes and crash analysis frameworks.

What else you need:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or some valuable practical experience.
  • A stackoverflow profile
  • A github profile
  • Unix-systems basic proficiency
  • Self-learning inclination
  • Will to share knowledge

A Day in the life of the dev team:

  • Work indipendently on the resolution of bugs or implementation of new features
  • Study, test and suggest new technologies that can offer a benefit to the business
  • Eat
  • Share and discuss choices with the rest of the team to create a deeper shared knowledge and expertise
  • Relate with non-tech members to understand what could improve internally

Note on Location:

The development office is in Cremona, this is NOT a Full-Remote or Remote-First opening, altought we are a Remote-Friendly environment, there is not check-in and check-out time, and there is quite freedom to work from Milan and sometimes from remote.

Salary:

Between 24k and 30k gross wage with significant variable based on goals (un to 30% of gross wage).
