Why you want to connect with this person and what you hope to talk about

I contacted Troy Denkinger in Brooklyn, and asked if he could talk about the music industry and tech (he works at a music distribution company),
as well as how to find a job in New York. I also asked to talk about one of his projects on github.

I already emailed him. He has yet to email me back.
What your follow-up will look like once you've met with them

I will send a LITERAL thank you card through snail mail immediately following our talk. I will also ask if we can have another conversation
in a few weeks when we talk voice to voice.


Option #1: If you're going to utilize networking events, look at upcoming networking events on meetup.com, builtin.com, or other social networking sites to make a plan for 1 that you can attend between now and the end of Module 3. Decide:

Why is this particular event interesting to you? How will you connect with others at this event?

I found medtech meetups, they are interesting to me because that is the field I want to go into.  I will bring questions for people like how we discussed in class and ask them.

I will also bring a little notebook and write peoples names in them as well as facts about them. I will take biz cards and get some for myself.

I will also give talks at meetups.  I already have one scheduled for next month.

What kind of value do you hope to gain? What kind of value can you contribute?

I hope to get a pulse of the industry and some guidance on how to enter it. I can contribute a huge network of Turing alums who are passionate about change
and may want to contribute as well.  I can also contribute my zeal for medicine.

How will you capitalize on these relationships?

I will look into some software that keeps me in touch with these people and use it. I will also identify a couple people who are interesting to me and ask them for coffee meetups.
