Hang In There Reflection
The aim of this project was to create a motivation poster generation tool to allow the user to choose from not only a
large list of randomly generated posters, but also allowing them to create their own custom poster with an image, title,
and quote of their choosing as well.
While there were no real 'disagreements' during our paired project, I made the error of doing a lot of coding without
my partner present which may have minimized the amount of learning they could do in putting some of the concepts learned
in class into practice. The issue was resolved by reviewing the code and explaining line by line what each function was
doing until he had a firm understanding of the application as a whole.
During times of technical struggle, I made it a point to reach out for assistance quickly and not allow myself to
struggle with it too long. In the past, stubbornness would result in the loss of precious time and learning
opportunities, as the frustrations of being stuck would prevent me from moving on to something I truly could tackle
successfully.
For the next project, I would like to pull back on just how much of my previous technical knowledge I would like to
put forth. While it helps me practice, it does not build for any team cohesion and may be detrimental to a teammates
learning.
