AI Guide for Arturo (16/12/2024)

Arturo Programming language

Language overview

Arturo is a very simple language. Even without any prior experience, I estimate it would take you roughly half an hour before you are comfortable enough to write your first program.

Here, you'll find everything you may need to know about the language (and perhaps a bit more). In a single page.

Notes on the GPT-4 abbreviations tweet

Notes on this tweet.

  • The screenshots were taken on different sessions.

  • The entire sessions are included on the screenshots.

  • I lost the original prompts, so I had to reconstruct them, and still managed to reproduce.

  • The "compressed" version is actually longer! Emojis and abbreviations use more tokens than common words.

HEPL - a simple repl integration for the helix editor

HEPL

This is a simple repl integration for the helix editor. It relies on on tmux to show the repl in a separate pane and on jupyter (jupyter-console and whatever jupyter kernels you might like) to run the actual repl.

Features

  • Works with any jupyter kernel
  • Code is dedented to the highest common level, so you can send python code from the middle of a function to the repl too
  • No issues with multiline pieces of code or blank lines inside of a function body, it works as you'd expect it to

Using Keybase PGP key with GitHub

Set up Keybase.io, GPG & Git to sign commits on GitHub

This is a step-by-step guide on how to create a GPG key on keybase.io, adding it to a local GPG setup and use it with Git and GitHub.

Although this guide was written for macOS, most commands should work in other operating systems as well.

There's a video published by Timothy Miller explaining some parts of this guide. Discussion on Hacker News.

Note: If you don't want to use Keybase.io, follow [this guide][1] instead. For manually transferring keys to different hosts, check out this [answer on Stack Overflow][2].

Void Linux on the Raspberry Pi - SD-card install script for Headless use! Only tested on Zero W
#!/bin/bash
# This makes a readily bootable Voidlinux SD-Card for the raspberrypi
# Sets up some configs, making the Pi connect to wifi and sshd
#
# First boot up takes a very long time (5+ mins even) on a Zero W. Really give it time.
# For remedy on subsequent booting see:
